– A Tribute to Singeetham Srinivas Rao

rohit SAYS,

This is a tribute to one of India’s most entertaining maker and a director who touched upon a lot genres which even the most critically acclaimed directors of India hadn’t dared to try…

This is one of India’s uppercase directors from the land of Telugu cinema. 2005052001520301

This people is Singeetham Srinivas Rao.

Having a string of succesful movies in some of the most insane and non Indian  genres is this dude’s sphere of expertise

Time travel – ‘Aditya 369’

Screwball comedies –  a bunch of films made with Kamal Haasan which include ‘Michael Madan Kamarajan’, ‘Apoorva Sahodharulu’ and many others.

Movies with no dialogue at all – Pushpaka Vimanam (Hindi version – Puskpak)

Fantasy – Bhairava Dheepam

a ton a comic films which will remembered forever and the best part about SSR is that every experiment he had made just got more and more entertaining. As far as his sense of sound is concerned, he had made better use of Ilayaraja than ace directors like Mani Ratnam.

For me he is the Robert Zemeckis of India.
